DESCRIPTION

Amazon is a fast paced, dynamic, high-tech company. The global accounting organization supports our financial reporting, internal control, intercompany, and transfer pricing activities and also supports new business launches globally for Amazon in the consumer products, initiatives, merchant, operations, logistics, payments, and cloud computing lines of business.

We are currently looking for a senior level candidate to help support the business growth in Amazon’s Sao Paulo, Brazil office. Successful candidates may have held senior analyst or accounting coordination or finance positions in public or private companies and demonstrated experience in leading teams to accomplish unusually complex challenges is also expected.


Key job responsibilities
• Manage the period-end close process by ensuring the accurate and timely completion of all CAPEX accounting entries and reconciliations.
• Manage key fixed assets life cycle events
• Perform analytical review of Capex/depreciation related balances and provide balance sheet account movements to support cash flow reporting
• Drive projects, provide accounting guidance and often serve as first point of contact for finance and business partners to resolve issues.
• Ensure effective collaboration and influence across multiple organizations with partner teams and stakeholders.
