You’ll be part of the team of engineers focused on the core user interactions in the Messages app on iOS and macOS, especially over iMessage. A signature product of this team is the transcript and its many expressive features like rich media and links, tapbacks, replies, mentions, bubble scroll dynamics, and much more. You’ll use the right tool for the job, from Objective-C to Swift, UIKit and even SwiftUI to build rich interactions and custom animations from the ground up. You may even play a large role in adopting and defining new system APIs before they’re publicly announced. Successful engineers will be prepared to dive all the way to the local database and protocol layers, working with engineers across teams to deliver complex features on time.
