  • Proven ability to independently drive software design and delivery process with proactive, timely, and actionable updates on progress and roadblocks.
  • Experienced software developer, in C/C++ or Objective-C/C++/Swift, git, python
  • Well versed in software design paradigms and software development best practices including development with Gen AI assisted and agentic workflows
  • Bachelor or Masters degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field with 3+ years of industry or equivalent academic research experience.
  • Good understanding of network security, protocol analysis and debugging
  • Strong experience in collaborative software development including proactively seeking and providing feedback in code reviews and design discussions
  • Able to thrive in a dynamic, collaborative environment, and communicate effectively with multi-functional team members.
  • Passionate about user privacy and understand the balance between privacy and safety
  • Excellent at written and verbal communications
  • Strong passion for public safety domain
  • Demonstrated ability to write and speak in formal situations, such as during engagements with government officials and key stakeholders
  • Working knowledge of assisted GNSS call flows and 3GPP location protocols
  • Experience with embedded location client or server development
  • Familiarity with data analysis tools such as Tableau, Jupyter Notebook, etc.Familiarity with 3GPP (NR, 4G, 3G, 2G) or 3GPP2 protocols
  • Familiarity with public safety and emergency communications and regulations
  • Familiarity with JS/node.js, REST and state-based sever / client architectures
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $147,400 and $272,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
