The Impact you will have in this role:

We are seeking a ServiceNow Engineer with proven expertise in QA automation and hands-on development. This role is responsible for contributing end-to-end testing, automation frameworks, and upgrade strategies, while also contributing to configuration, scripting, and integrations across the ServiceNow platform (ITSM, ITOM, CMDB, Discovery, Event Management, Service Portal, and enterprise integrations). The ideal candidate will bring a balanced background in QA, automation, and development with strong skills in ATF, Selenium, API testing, and JavaScript, bridging quality assurance and engineering delivery to ensure high-performing, scalable ServiceNow solutions.

Your Primary Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and understand business requirements and ServiceNow specifications to design effective test cases and scenarios.
  • Plan, execute, and document manual and automated tests for ServiceNow applications, and integrations
  • Identify, report, and track defects using defect management tools and Conduct root cause analysis to prevent recurring defects.
  • Collaborate with developers, architects, and business analysts to clarify requirements and resolve issues during the testing lifecycle.
  • Conduct Functional, integration, API, Regression testing of ServiceNow modules, ensuring quality.
  • Assist in ServiceNow development tasks including basic configuration, script writing, and workflow customization, as needed.
  • Work with automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, ATF) to develop, enhance, and execute automated testing scripts for ServiceNow modules.
  • Develop test strategies and execution plans for both manual and automated testing.
  • Apply software testing and ServiceNow domain knowledge to suggest improvements, mitigate risks, and promote best practices within the team.
  • Performing thorough testing by covering all test cases to ensure the application works as intended
  • Participate actively in Agile ceremonies (sprint refinement, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives) and adapt testing approaches to fit Agile delivery cycles.

Qualifications:

  • At least 4 yrs. of software Testing and Development experience with at least 2+ years in ServiceNow
  • Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science or equivalent
  • ServiceNow Certifications – Certified System Administrator (CSA)
  • Familiarity with test management tools like JIRA and HP ALM.
  • Proficiency in test automation frameworks such as ATF, Selenium, or similar tools.
  • Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of ServiceNow scripting (JavaScript), client scripts, business rules, UI policies, and Flow Designer.

Preferred Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Manual/Automation Tester with strong knowledge of ServiceNow applications
  • Strong expertise in ServiceNow platform capabilities, including ITSM, Service Catalogs, ITOM and Other related modules.
  • Skilled in developing, executing, and maintaining both manual and automated test cases.
  • Experience in validating ServiceNow integrations via API testing with tools including Postman or SOAP UI
  • Exposure to ServiceNow development lifecycle and update set migration.
  • Proven ability to work in offshore–onshore delivery models, collaborating across multiple time zones with global teams.
  • Certifications: ITIL v3/v4 and ServiceNow Certifications - CSA, CAD.
