EY - GDS Consulting - AI And DATA – Data Strategy & Enablement– Manager

As a Lifesciences Commercial Analytics Manager, you will lead a team dedicated to transforming data into actionable insights that drive commercial success. Your primary responsibilities will include overseeing the development of analytical frameworks, collaborating with marketing and sales teams to identify opportunities for growth and presenting findings to senior leadership. You will utilize advanced analytical tools to interpret complex datasets and guide strategic initiatives.

Roles and Responsibilities

Data Strategy & Enablement

  • Contribute to the development and execution of data strategy initiatives within commercial analytics, including data sourcing, data quality, and standardization of metrics.
  • Support definition and adoption of common KPIs, reporting standards, and measurement approaches across brands, markets, or channels.
  • Collaborate with senior team members to identify high value analytics use cases and translate business questions into analytical requirements.
  • Work with data, analytics, and IT teams to ensure availability, usability, and reliability of commercial data assets.
  • Support governance activities related to data usage, reporting consistency, and compliance with internal and external standards.

Stakeholder Collaboration & Delivery

  • Collaborate with cross functional teams (Marketing, Analytics, IT, Data Engineering, etc.) to support aligned execution of commercial analytics initiatives.
  • Engage with business stakeholders to understand requirements, clarify objectives, and communicate insights in a clear and structured manner.
  • Contribute to training, documentation, and enablement materials that support adoption of analytics and omnichannel standards.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Solid understanding of the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry, including awareness of regulations and compliance in commercial analytics.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and draw insights that inform commercial decisions.
  • Working knowledge of omnichannel marketing, customer engagement models, and performance measurement approaches.
  • Exposure to data management concepts such as data quality, KPI standardization, and reporting frameworks.
  • Ability to adapt to evolving business needs and contribute innovative ideas for improving analytics and customer engagement.
  • Strong attention to detail in analysis, reporting, and execution.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present insights in a structured and compelling manner.
  • Ability to manage workstreams independently while contributing to larger, cross functional initiatives.
  • Digital and technology savvy mindset; comfortable working with analytics tools, dashboards, and modern data platforms.
  • Strong problem solving skills and a results oriented work ethic.
  • Required relevant experience of 8-10 years.

To excel in this role, you should possess a strong background in analytics, with experience in the life sciences sector being highly desirable. A Master's degree in a relevant field is preferred. You will need exceptional problem-solving skills, the ability to communicate complex information clearly and a passion for leveraging data to enhance business outcomes.
