Group Product Manager, Customer Data Platform (CDP) & Audience Management (Mailchimp)
Company Overview
Intuit is the global financial technology platform that powers prosperity for the people and communities we serve. With approximately 100 million customers worldwide using products such as TurboTax, Credit Karma, QuickBooks, and Mailchimp, we believe that everyone should have the opportunity to prosper. We never stop working to find new, innovative ways to make that possible.
Job Overview
At Intuit Mailchimp, we’re building the intelligence core that powers the future of AI-driven marketing for small and mid-market businesses (SMBs/MMBs).
Our mission is to make world-class customer understanding and personalization as easy and automatic as possible. We’re replacing manual setup and fragmented tools with a Generative AI–driven, done-for-you marketing engine that delivers immediate results and scales effortlessly with our customers’ growth.
The Customer Data Platform (CDP) and Audience Management ecosystem are foundational to this mission — unifying customer identity, behavior, and engagement data across channels, while enabling marketers to activate powerful, intuitive, and predictive segmentation experiences.
As Group Product Manager for this space, you’ll define and execute the multi-year strategy for Mailchimp’s data and audience intelligence platform — delivering performance, personalization, and growth at scale.
This is a mission-critical leadership role at the center of Intuit Mailchimp’s future. You will:
Define and deliver the CDP and Audience Management platform that powers Mailchimp’s next generation of customer intelligence,
Lead the AI-forward, “done-for-you” product vision that gives SMBs and mid-market companies enterprise-grade data capabilities with zero complexity,
Create the seamless migration experience that turns frustration on other platforms into immediate, measurable success on Mailchimp, and
Build the foundation that enables real-time, omnichannel personalization and performance for millions of growing businesses worldwide.
You’ll lead the team that makes Mailchimp the most intuitive, intelligent, and impactful marketing platform in the world — where AI does the heavy lifting and every business sees immediate results.
Responsibilities
Own the First Principle of Segmentation
Reimagine segmentation from first principles: make it human-centered, intent-driven, and natural-language friendly (“People who clicked on X but haven’t purchased Y”).
Eliminate technical jargon and replace complexity with AI-driven interpretation and visualization, so marketers can think in ideas — not SQL queries.
Build for intuition and speed: every interaction should feel instant, responsive, and self-explanatory.
2. Drive Immediate Performance Gain
Design the Zero-to-Segment Experience — where new users see instant value upon their first data import.
Automatically analyze imported data and propose high-value segments (e.g., “Active Buyers,” “Lapsed Users,” “Engaged Subscribers”).
Ensure that migrating users from other platforms experience immediate performance improvement, making Mailchimp’s CDP the obvious upgrade path.
3. Lead the AI-Forward, Done-For-You Mandate
Embed Generative AI and System Learning Models (SLMs) directly into the segmentation and audience workflows.
Deliver step-change improvements in workflow speed and targeting accuracy by enabling the system to suggest segments, detect anomalies, and optimize performance autonomously.Transform segmentation and audience building from manual setup into a “done-for-you” experience that delivers faster workflows and better outcomes.
4. Establish Scalable, Consistent Foundations
Define a unified and immutable audience nomenclature (Lists, Segments, Tags, Audiences, etc.) that is simple, consistent, and scalable across Mailchimp and the Intuit ecosystem.
Drive systemic consistency across design, performance, and experience to ensure small businesses and mid-market users enjoy the same intuitive flow and language.
5. Mandate Performance as a Design Requirement
Partner with Engineering and Data Platform leaders to ensure the CDP and segmentation engine are real-time, reliable, and performant even with hundreds of millions of records.
Performance is not a technical trade-off — it’s a design requirement. Segment counts must update instantly to build user confidence and trust.
6. Lead, Mentor, and Inspire
Build, coach, and mentor a high-performing team of product managers, fostering a culture of ownership, bold innovation, and data-informed decision-making
Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Data Science, Design, and Marketing to deliver cohesive platform outcomes and drive measurable business impact.
Qualifications
10+ years of product management experience, including 3+ years in a leadership or Group PM capacity owning data, platform, or audience intelligence products.
Deep, hands-on expertise in Customer Data Platforms (CDPs), data warehousing, identity resolution, and real-time data streaming.
Proven success delivering Audience Management and Segmentation experiences that combine simplicity, automation, and mid-market scale.
Demonstrated experience in AI/GenAI product innovation, particularly integrating LLMs or ML models into customer workflows.A strong history of focusing on the migration curve — building experiences that make switching from competitors seamless and immediately rewarding.
Strong technical fluency and ability to collaborate deeply with Engineering on data models, APIs, and scalability decisions.
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field is strongly preferred; MBA or equivalent strategic experience a plus.
