As a Principal Product Manager, you will be the model of product management excellence, defining vision and strategy, driving growth, and delivering world-class experiences that accelerate adoption and engagement across frontline and knowledge worker scenarios.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development
- OR equivalent experience.
- Experience with enterprise SaaS or global-scale collaboration platforms.
- Ability to drive growth initiatives (onboarding flows, engagement loops, retention strategies, ecosystem expansion).
- Knowledge of product sense with deep customer empathy and UX/UI instincts.
- Analytical and experimentation skills; comfortable with metrics, dashboards, and A/B testing at scale.
- Ability to balance big-picture strategy with hands-on execution, making tough prioritization and pivot decisions.
Other Requirements:
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
- Experience in building and scaling AI/ML-driven features in communications or collaboration contexts or similar experience.
- Familiarity with frontline worker technologies and their unique needs.
- Knowledge of agentic AI, conversational AI, or real-time communications in team-based contexts.
- Prior experience embedding responsible AI principles into product design.
- Advanced degree in CS, AI, HCI, or equivalent experience.
Product Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $139,900 - $274,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $188,000 - $304,200 per year.

Responsibilities
- Set vision and strategy for initiatives across frontline and collaboration scenarios, leveraging agentic AI to simplify communication, onboarding, retention, and productivity.
- Regularly assess industries and market landscapes to identify short- and long-term opportunities for Teams growth, especially in frontline-heavy sectors.
- Define and deliver end-to-end product experiences that connect chat, meetings, channels, and operational workflows seamlessly—working across organizational boundaries to align investments.
- Drive the full product lifecycle: conduct research, define requirements, prioritize features, and launch experiences that scale globally.
- Leverage data and experimentation (A/B testing, funnel optimization, cohort analysis) to measure impact, inform decisions, and iterate quickly.
- Champion responsible AI by embedding transparency, reliability, privacy, and fairness in every product decision.
- Represent Microsoft externally, evangelizing our vision at customer meetings and industry events.
- Partner closely with key accounts and field teams to accelerate growth of Teams & Microsoft 365 in the frontline segment.
- Mentor and influence other PMs, contributing to best practices, growth frameworks, and AI strategy within Teams.
