Within Azure Data, the messaging and real-time analytics team provides comprehensive solutions and a robust platform that enables users to ingest high granularity signals (real-time & observability) and complex data, converting those into a competitive advantage in real-time for both end users and modern applications.
We are seeking a Product Manager with deep data competency and strong AI intuition to drive next‑generation AI‑powered data solutions across Microsoft Fabric Real‑Time Intelligence (RTI) and the newly announced Fabric IQ experiences. In this role, you will translate customer needs into intelligent, data‑driven product capabilities; define high‑quality data foundations and evaluation criteria; and partner closely with engineering, data science, and research teams to design AI features that are reliable, safe, and measurable. Success in this role requires a passion for data quality, a strong ability to understand and reason about AI system behavior, and the product craftsmanship to turn complex data into clear, intuitive user experiences that extend the power of Fabric RTI and Fabric IQ to customers at scale.

Responsibilities
- Define product strategy and roadmap for AI‑driven features, ensuring alignment with customer needs (across personas), responsible AI principles, and business goals.
- Partner with data scientists and engineers to develop features and shape customer experiences - translating user problems into model requirements, data needs, and evaluation criteria.
- Lead feature & AI quality initiatives, including evaluation design, metrics definition, dataset curation, regression tracking and RAI compliance.
- Iterate quickly and represent the customer perspective in all phases from ideation through delivery using data and insights to continuously refine product behavior.

Required/Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development OR equivalent experience.

This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred/Additional Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree AND 12+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development OR equivalent experience.
2+ years experience in product/service/program management for AI-focused products or solutions
4+ years experience taking a product, feature, or experience to market (e.g., design, addressing product market fit, and launch, internal tool/framework).
6+ years experience improving product metrics for a product, feature, or experience in a market (e.g., growing customer base, expanding customer usage, avoiding customer churn).
6+ years experience disrupting a market for a product, feature, or experience (e.g., competitive disruption, taking the place of an established competing product).

Product Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $139,900 - $274,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $188,000 - $304,200 per year.
