Job Summary

As a Solutions Engineer (SE) in NetApp's Sales function, you are responsible for technical selling of NetApp's Products & Services to existing and potential customers. You will utilize your technical and relationship building skills in working with vendors, partner ecosystems and your sales team to ensure that optimum solutions are proposed to the customers.

The Solutions Engineer is required to have a deep understanding of end-to-end customer operations and work as a consultant to customers in identifying key business challenges and position the right technology solutions and data management solution/service to address those business challenges. The Solutions Engineer shall also work on long-term strategies to improve customer business operations through data management tools and services delivering continuous value to customers business. The SE is also required to work closely with various alliance partners and provide best of breed joint solutions to the customers.

Job Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of Data Storage, Data Protection (including Cyber), Virtualization, Containers and ideally Cloud architectures.
  • Collaborate with CE's and channel partners to drive demand generation, enablement, and joint selling motions.
  • Demonstrate ownership of issues / solutions / architectures in customer or partner environments and work with extended team to help resolve for delivering the highest customer experience.
  • Strong expertise in Technical Pre-Sales, with the ability to do hands-on POCs and conduct technical workshops.
  • Ability to assist in creating ROI/TCO overview and competitive advantages of solution offerings.
  • Excellent written and verbal Dutch/English communication skills, including making technology oriented commercial presentations and answering RFPs with partners or sales.
  • Maintain deep knowledge of NetApp’s portfolio and competitive landscape to guide customer strategy.
  • Partner closely with internal teams to ensure successful implementation and customer satisfaction.
  • Travel to the prospective customer's sites & locations as necessary.
  • Knowledge of NetApp’s competitive and alliance landscape would be an added advantage.

Education

  • Typically requires a minimum of 6 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree; or 5 years and a Master’s degree.
