Job Summary
NetApp is developing a portfolio of data-centric storage platforms and services to help the world’s leading organizations harness their data in new and interesting ways. In support of that mission, we are rapidly growing our Keystone team. The Keystone Service team is responsible for cutting-edge technologies that enable NetApp’s Pay as you go offering. Keystone Service helps customers manage data on prem or in the cloud and have invoices that are charged in a subscription manner
As a Senior Software Engineer in the NetApp’s Keystone organization, you will be responsible for leading and executing our most challenging and complex projects. You will be responsible for decomposing complex problems into simple solutions, understanding system interdependencies and limitations and engineering best practices.
In addition to your technical expertise, you will also be responsible partnering with technical and product leaders, mentoring and developing others, influencing internal multiple NetApp teams. You will be a key player in helping NetApp stay ahead of the curve and deliver innovative solutions to our customers.
You are expected to have a strong technical point of view, be a great team player and work with internal and external stakeholders with trust with empathy.
Job Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in software engineering
- Build and modify high-performance APIs and programs using Go/ Golang.
- Implement APIs based on architecture frameworks and guidelines
- Prepare functional specifications and test data
- Collaborate with external and internal teams to troubleshoot performance and functional issues
- Work with DevOps engineers to integrate new code into existing continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery/deployment (CD) pipelines
- Deliver industry-leading results on time with minimal supervision
- 5+ years of expert level hands-on experience in highly scalable cloud architectures including service-oriented architectures, cloud-native (SAAS), data engineering, data analytics and cloud storage services.
- Ability to contribute on customer design issues and scalations
- Analyses, design, develop, as well as implement RESTful services and APIs
- Be involved in the development life cycle and perform definition and feasibility analysis
- Implement, integrate and document a variety of software platforms through the REST API framework
- Apply the latest software design techniques and contribute to the technical design of new solutions
- Modify existing programs, prepare test data and functional specifications.
- Troubleshoot issues and solve problems, identify potential process improvement areas
- Implement common APIs based on architecture guidelines and frameworks
Education
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering required (Computer science preferred) and/or, relevant experience.
- 8+ years of experience in commercial software development.
