| Job Summary | This is an Internal Employment Opportunity. This recruitment will be used to fill one part-time (approximately 30 hours per week) Biological Sciences Research Technician 1 position for the Department of Crop and Soil Science at Oregon State University (OSU). This position will support ongoing weed science research activities. The incumbent will assist with a range of tasks involving plant propagation, greenhouse management, and field-based work. Responsibilities will include germinating various weed species in petri dishes, transplanting seedlings into pots, maintaining greenhouse-grown plants, and supporting field experiments. Field responsibilities may include seed collection, seed cleaning, hand weeding, equipment maintenance, labeling, and organization of research supplies. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and hard-working, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team in outdoor and greenhouse environments. This position provides hands-on experience in plant science research and is well-suited for individuals interested in agriculture, botany, ecology, or related fields. |
