| Posting Summary | Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Research Support Associate for Center for Advanced Biotechnology and Medicine (CABM) within the Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences (RBHS). The primary purpose of the Research Support Associate is to assist the federally funded research team studying protein evolution and the origins of metabolism. Under the direction of the Principal Investigator, the Research Support Associate will perform various research and technical operations as part of a collaborative project aimed at understanding the evolution of the protein nanomachines that mediate electron transfer, including the origin of catalysis, the evolution of protein structures in microbial ancestors, and the co-evolution of proteins and the geosphere through geologic time. The Research Support Associate will contribute to the investigation of protein design and protein language models using advanced computational approaches. This position will also be responsible for lab management, supporting day-to-day activities and participating in collaborative meetings, as well as assisting in the development of protocols, and maintaining accurate records of designs, analyses, and results.
