We are seeking a highly skilled Windows Systems & Infrastructure Administrator to oversee the reliability, security, and performance of our server and data center infrastructure. This position is based in Wendell, NC., with remote opportunities.
You’ll make an impact by:
This role is responsible for managing Windows Server environments, SQL databases, enterprise applications, virtualization platforms, and backup/disaster recovery solutions. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise, proactive problem-solving skills, and a passion for continuous improvement in a mission-critical IT environment.
- Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server (2016/2019/2022), Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, file/print services, and Group Policy.
- Manage Active Directory group structures and governance, including user/group provisioning, access rights, and compliance.
- Administer Microsoft SQL Server environments, including backups, restores, performance optimization, clustering, and security.
- Deploy, patch, and support enterprise applications while coordinating with vendors for escalations.
- Oversee networking and connectivity (LAN/WAN, VPNs, VLANs, firewalls, switches, routers).
- Support the Enterprise Infrastructure IT teams with migrating on-prem assets to the cloud, ensuring no impact to production and seamless transition.
- Implement and maintain security best practices, including patching, access control, privilege auditing, and log monitoring.
- Coordinate with Enterprise Infrastructure IT teams to administer backup and disaster recovery solutions and ensure regular testing of restore procedures.
- On occasion, support IT and business teams with PC/laptop administration – especially with connectivity and application usage related to data center activity.
- Monitor infrastructure health with tools, troubleshoot escalated issues, and lead incident response.
- Maintain documentation (diagrams, inventories, SOPs) and recommend continuous improvements to enhance infrastructure reliability, performance, and security.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in Windows Server administration and data center operations.
- Strong expertise in Active Directory, SQL Server, and virtualization technologies.
- Hands-on experience with networking, storage, and backup solutions.
- Knowledge of security best practices and compliance standards.
- Excellent problem-solving and documentation skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment with on-call responsibilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Azure or other cloud platforms.
- Familiarity with automation tools (PowerShell, Ansible).
- Exposure to DevOps or CI/CD practices.

The pay range for this position is $60,340 - $103,440 annually. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
