What You Will Do:
This role is part of the B2B Products team and will support a team of software engineers in architecting and developing functionality on existing and new B2B products supporting Disney Experiences Technology. What You Will Do: · Design, develop, and code software functionality using standard frameworks and platforms · Deploy code to user-facing environments using release management best practices · Build, execute, and automate unit tests to validate functionality · Write documentation explaining the technical details behind the functionality · Configure applications to enable and modify functionality for end users · Support team in DevOps activities, including Agile sprint planning and daily scrum organization.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
· Knowledge and experience in one and/or more of the following programming languages (Java, Python, C++)
· Knowledge and experience in APIs, including REST APIs and similar technologies
· Proficiency with fundamental front-end languages such as HTML, CSS and JavaScript
· Understanding of relational and non-relational databases (SQL, NoSQL), especially Oracle and/or PostgreSQL
· Strong problem solving and analysis skills
· Strong ability to work independently and follow through on assignment
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
· Knowledge and experience with development on SaaS platforms
· Familiarity with AWS Cloud infrastructure · Familiarity with Agile development framework and Software Development LifeCycle
· Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks such as Angular, Node, and React
· Experience with Enterprise applications such as Jira, Confluence, and Clarity PPM
Education
· Currently enrolled undergraduate student in an accredited college/university, pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems, Information Technology or related field
Eligibility Requirements & Program Information:
Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program AND returning to school the semester/quarter following the internship OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship
Be at least 18 years of age
Possess unrestricted work authorization
Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or Disney College Program
Able to provide own housing for the duration internship program in the Orlando, FL area
