This position will work a hybrid schedule which includes a combination of working both onsite (3 days) at Greenwich Dr. and remote (2 days).

DESCRIPTION

UC San Diego Health HR is hiring a HR Applications Developer (job level and salary range are dependent on experience) who will use their experience with JavaScript, systems administration and database administration to work alongside Health HR's ServiceNow Platform Architect to program a cloud based system.

The HR Applications Developer will apply technical knowledge, in collaboration with HR staff, to refine and enhance the business facing system used by employees and managers to communicate and work HR to maintain and enhance the most effective system possible. The ideal candidate has the skills and abilities of: effective communication, active listening, ability to understand and develop workflows and apply lean methodologies to create collaborative, customer service based processes. The HR Applications Developer will work primarily within ServiceNow where experience with similar SaaS cloud based software or software used to automate services is preferred.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Six years of related experience, education/training, OR a Bachelor’s degree in related area plus two years of related experience/training.
  • To be considered for the Applications Programmer 3 level, you must have seven years of related experience, education/training, OR a Bachelor’s degree in related area plus three years of related experience/training.
  • Proven experience in web development (HTML/CSS/Javascript).
  • Experience programming/administering ServiceNow.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of software development methodologies (any of Agile/Lean/Scrum/Dev-ops).
  • Skilled in change management and demonstrated ability to strategically move all stakeholder groups through change management stages.
  • Proven experience with system administration.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate technical information to technical and non-technical personnel at various levels in the organization.
  • Project management skills, including the ability to set project objectives, determine and address potential barriers identify required resources, identify process steps and milestones and adjust action plans to achieve desired outcomes.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience serving in a ServiceNow fulfiller or admin role.
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator.
  • Knowledge of software development methodologies.
  • Proficiency with SQL and data analytic capabilities with the intention of producing datasets that bridge different areas of core functions.
  • Experience in database administration.
  • Experience using AngularJS.
  • Workflow Design.
  • Experience with Lean Six Sigma concepts and tools.

Pay Transparency Act

Annual Full Pay Range: $65,800 - $115,000 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

Hourly Equivalent: $31.51 - $55.08

Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
