Position Summary | The Instructional Technology Systems Assistant (A/V Systems Support and Installation) position collaborates with and supports faculty and departments through the design, development, implementation, evaluation and classroom support of instructional technologies. This position is responsible for the maintenance and repair of integrated video/audio/data classroom presentation systems and related analog and digital instructional technologies. This individual will also provide quick, efficient telephone and on-site support of classroom instructional technology and/or systems to insure minimal classroom downtime. Employees in this position must possess broad knowledge of current and evolving instructional technologies and resources. This position is also responsible for the installation of the most current A/V technologies in compliance with UGA and industry standards |
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies | The position requires excellent interpersonal skills, good problem solving skills, intermediate to advanced knowledge of presentation systems, data/video projectors, audio/visual equipment, control systems, and distance learning technology (video conferencing). Valid Georgia driver’s license is required. Intermediate to advanced knowledge of PC and Mac hardware and software support is preferred. |
