Research Project Manager

The University of Pittsburgh, Department of Critical Care Medicine, is currently recruiting a Research Project Manager. The successful candidate will work closely with the Principal Investigator (PI), study staff, clinical staff, and research participants to manage one or more projects. Strong consideration will be given to candidates with prior experience managing data from multiple sources, and with comfort using spreadsheets to track that data. Well-qualified candidates will possess the ability to communicate effectively, will take the initiative to problem solve as issues arise, and to consistently produce accurate and reliable work with minimal errors.
Job Summary
Manages all aspects of one or more projects for a research program and oversees all aspects of the project lifecycle. Provides leadership, technical direction, coordination, and expertise across projects. Analyzes progress and/or performance and prepares reports. Ensures compliance with budget, scope, timeline, and regulations. Assists with external communications.
Execute day-to-day activities. Keep and maintain an inventory of datasets for assigned research projects. Excellent organization, interpersonal, and documentation skills required.
Generally sedentary but may require the ability to move/traverse distances. No heavy lifting required.
