Performs a variety of independent laboratory work and experiments such as determining experimental protocols and preparation of specimens and cultures. Prepares reports of findings subsequent to compilation and analyzation. Oversees specimen inventory. Develops documentation for publication; crafts manuscripts and grant proposals.

Essential Functions

This is a joint position between the Koenigshoff and Das labs. The Das lab has developed a range of interpretable machine learning approaches including SLIDE. This new position will focus on - i) applying machine learning and computational systems approaches to multi-omic datasets in the context of senescence in conjunction with the Koenigshoff lab, and ii) enhancing SLIDE with biological priors and applying it to metabolomic data.

Physical Effort


Little physical effort required. Duties are primarily sedentary. May be required to move objects up to 25 pounds occasionally.

Additional details about Required Licensure/Certification Skills required The basic skillset required for this position includes experience in statistics, machine learning, and coding in Python and R. Other useful skills include work in immunology/biology and experience with single-cell omics and sequence data.
Work Schedule Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m
Work Arrangement Hybrid: Combination of On-Campus and Remote work as determined by the department.
