Major Duties and Responsibilities
1. Technical Contributions. Responsible for performing and guiding technical activities resulting from approved self-initiated or assigned manufacturing programs leading to innovative applications and extensions of existing or new products/technologies having major importance to the business of the division/business/staff organization. Expands the use of extensive knowledge of statistical techniques for monitoring and improving manufacturing processes. Improves upon these skills through regular participation in appropriate activities.
2. Leadership. Initiates, identifies, recommends, and oversees programs in the manufacturing area of responsibility to improve:( 1) product cost, service, and quality, and/or (2) process safety and health/environmental impact.
3. Intellectual Property. Has an awareness of implications of intellectual property on the process(es). Provide appropriate and timely documentation of work as required by the business unit.
4. Education. Identifies and implements a comprehensive education plan to continually advance technical skills and personal development as well as promotes and actively participates in programs to enhance organizational effectiveness. Functions as a technical resource and mentor within immediate work group. Begins establishing self as a technical expert, resource, and mentor throughout the division.
5. Strategic Planning. Actively participates in and may lead project planning efforts. Suggests changes or future direction as needed. Participates in implementing changes and future direction.
Qualifications
Semiconductor fab and supplier experience, manufacturing background, product and process engineering expertise
A Master or above education degree is preferred.
A minimum of 5 years relevant work experience
Film and bonding materials background for wafer/chipset advance packaging will be preferred.
Management of Change and Continuous Improvement processes
Quality Management Systems and Lean Six Sigma experience
Extensive knowledge base of statistical techniques for monitoring and improving manufacturing processes
Multinational or global interactions may be required. Local language and working knowledge of English is generally required.
