The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As a Senior Customer Quality Engineer, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Acting as the global process owner for CBG’s customer and consumer complaint processes, serving as the subject matter expert of its systems and process
  • Supporting and interacting with customers and consumers through complaint investigations, resolution, and trending including monthly Quality Dashboard reports
  • Managing customer audit requests which may require escalation of critical audit ratings/findings and corrective actions and audit follow-up and closure to ensure business continuity
  • Collaborating with the central QMS team to represent CBG in the development and implementation of standardized quality management system processes
  • Driving continual improvement in existing CBG processes. Strengthening the quality management system by helping set project objectives and priorities with a strong focus on quality. Identifying and evaluating opportunities to improve processes and systems while proposing and testing enhancement ideas.

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
  • Three (3) years of combined experience in Quality Engineering, Quality Management Systems, Customer Audits, Product Quality Complaints, and Supplier Management within a private, public, government, or military environment

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Capacity to adapt different problem-solving techniques and project management tools to solve complex issues
  • Expertise to provide subject matter guidance to a wide variety of functions and experience levels
  • Ability to influence others on best practices or optimal resolution options
  • Master’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
  • Experience working with ISO9001:2015
  • Experience working with suppliers in a quality improvement capacity
  • Experience training people
  • Manufacturing experience
  • ASQ certification

Work location: This role follows an on-site working model, requiring the employee to work at least four days a week at the 3M Center in Maplewood, MN.

Travel: May include up to 10% domestic and international

Relocation Assistance: May be authorized
