Job Description

Purpose:

The Senior Financial Analyst, Procurement Finance - Operations, works globally and cross-functionally to align spending and savings targets to drive cost savings opportunities and set Inventory Standards that minimize Purchase Price Variances (PPV). The role involves interaction with all levels of Finance and Procurement management and reports to the Procurement Senior Manager within the Operations function.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and conduct monthly analysis of Purchase Price Variance (PPV) for Actuals and Latest Best Estimates (LBE) using SAP; collaborating with Procurement Category and Site contacts to ensure spending aligns with cost-saving targets.
  • Coordinate the annual Inventory Material Standard setting process with Procurement Category leadership to support financial alignment.
  • Prepare, analyze, and review monthly Purchase Price Variance (PPV) reports, detailing key drivers in partnership with Procurement, to ensure LBE submissions reflect accurate cost forecasts and savings potential.
  • Validate Procurement cost savings initiatives.
  • Collaborate and lead monthly Savings meetings with Regional leads and Directors to validate savings and variance drivers.
  • Direct and support strategic projects and initiatives, such as management reporting and optimization, while driving process improvements.
  • Perform ad hoc analysis as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting preferred
  • Minimum 4+ years of related experience
  • Strong financial acumen, with analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-starter with ability to operate independently, drive processes, identify and implement process improvements, establish and adjust priorities to achieve objectives and operate with speed and agility
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and organize work
  • Proficient Excel skills
  • Knowledge of SAP and Power BI
