As a Principal Product Marketing Manager, you will play a meaningful role in driving Photoshop’s short- and long-term business goals. We’re looking for an exceptional leader to help define the go-to-market, marketing and product strategies to accelerate our already substantial Photoshop business. You will help to define our 1- to 3-year business strategy, identify new product and audience opportunities, develop annual GTM and marketing plans, and work cross-functionally to drive growth for the business. This role will sit on the Photoshop Product Marketing team, working on global, consumer-facing initiatives that drive consideration, adoption, engagement, and retention of Photoshop across surfaces and audiences strengthen the creative community, unlock new markets and audiences, and accelerate profitable growth.
What You’ll Do
Define a clear vision for the Photoshop business and the GTM strategy required to win. This includes: Total addressable market, market share, competitive assessment; value proposition, messaging, and positioning; Target audience definition, priorities, and customer needs;
Partner closely with product management to define the optimal product strategy; collaborate with partners in Product, Engineering, Research, Data Science, Design, Finance and Legal to deliver amazing customer experiences
Work with Marketing, PR, Community and Social to develop go-to-market strategy for product releases and product related marketing activations and input into development and execution of go-to-market plans, working closely w/corporate and regional partners and channel owners.
Set goals and targets to assess impact of outbound initiatives based on historical benchmarks and/or industry standards
Desired Skills and Experience
Product marketing experience. Distinctive track record of impact in marketing and strategy decisions based on your recommendations. You can anticipate market needs and trends, how they manifest in product needs, and predict go to market challenges that influence the product direction.
Exceptional communication skills. Advanced written and verbal communication skills. The ability to distill complex ideas down into digestible bites, and to concisely and confidently present and influence executives, peers, and key decision makers.
Strategic clarity. Strong and data-driven point of view on market opportunities and how to best win new and retain existing Adobe customers.
Results oriented and data driven. Demonstrates outstanding analytical skills to identify, analyze, and use data to inform a recommendation and demonstrates courage to challenge a plan based on new information.
Cross-functional leadership. You’re a respected leader who supports others while building positive relationships and can collaborate and influence across the organization.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
Bachelor's degree preferred OR 10+ years of product marketing experience in consumer software technology OR equivalent practical experience.
Passion for creativity and empowering the creator in all of us.
Experience with Photoshop or other Digital Imaging tools is required.
Proven track record of driving business growth by defining, prioritizing, and leading high impact outbound marketing initiatives
Ability to define problems, amidst ambiguity, and a bias for action to address them autonomously
Experience influencing highly matrixed teams with differing goals and critical metrics
Patience and adaptability in dynamic, rapidly shifting environments.
Global culturalisation and localization experience
10% travel.
At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).
In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
