EMPLOYEE ROLE

People Manager

The Opportunity

You will lead all core product aspects of Adobe Premiere Pro. You will champion a culture of innovation, encouraging the exploration of new technologies and approaches, revolutionizing the world of video editing and setting the gold standard for future products from Adobe and the industry!

The successful candidate will be responsible for all facets of strategy, roadmap, and integrations within the Creative Cloud for video / audio products and services. You will collaborate with engineering to innovate in all core Adobe Premiere Pro areas.

This is a leadership role that requires defining and leading the product roadmap for our flagship video product across all of Adobe’s Creative Cloud platform. Success will be met by driving alignment with different product teams across the Digital Video and Audio org (DVA).

You will bring a proven ability to deliver compelling user experiences, work effectively in a cross-organization, geographically distributed environment, and exercise leadership to make a profound impact through influence.

What you’ll do

  • Engage with Premiere Pro customers and understand their needs.
  • Spot risks, find opportunities, identify competitive landscapes, and emerging trends, and understand implications, breaking insights down into pragmatic actions.
  • Crafting the strategy and roadmap, defining the goals in partnership with cross-functional category leadership to include executives, design, product marketing, program management, and engineering.
  • Balance between short-term investments and future bets to deliver world class experiences. Foster an environment where employees are inspired to contribute to realizing the vision.
  • Craft and communicate product strategy across organizations – gain consensus, encourage collaboration, and influence senior executives to acquire necessary resources -, regularly engaging with partner teams to evangelize features.
  • Lead a team of product managers who have deep experience in the industry, coaching them to achieve excellence in quality of PM artifacts (roadmaps, backlogs, PRDs) and data-driven decision making.
  • Use your product intuition to impact customer needs. Lead the team to validate these assumptions with a design thinking approach.
  • Drive a robust software development process that is agile, predictable, and results driven. Bring a combination of critical thinking and pragmatic delivery.
  • Interactions involve visible activities such as speaking with customers or partners, influencing others, and representing the organization.
  • Manage and allocate budgets effectively, ensuring optimal resource utilization.
  • Champion diversity and inclusion initiatives, ensuring a workplace that celebrates and respects differences.
  • Foster a sense of belonging and purpose, encouraging a strong connection to the vision and mission. Encourage a culture of continuous feedback, both formal and informal, to support individual and team development.
  • Be a leader with vision and evangelist in creating exceptional customer experiences.
  • Be on the lookout for strategic partnerships and M&A opportunities to bring more capabilities to Adobe. Should an opportunity present itself, the candidate should be able to build the case, bring it to the executive team and make the right relationship happen.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Proven product management leadership experience, including leading highly versatile and diverse teams of product managers.
  • Domain expertise in Adobe Premiere Pro and an understanding of creative professionals and their expectations from video tools.
  • Deep passion for the content creation space and for innovation.
  • Strong EQ, influencing skills, and leadership ability, ideally including experience driving consensus in matrixed organizations, with the ability to influence at all organizational levels.
  • Demonstrated experience working in a matrixed environment at scale partnering across all functions, business units and geographies
  • The inherently collaborative and leading personality that enables you to win the hearts and minds of your peers to implement a complex product roadmap.
  • Strong problem-solving skills — thinking strategically and creatively to identify and address challenges and opportunities
  • Ability to work at a fast pace and challenge the status quo in a large company
  • Demonstrated success in driving positive cultural change.
  • Demonstrated success in fostering an environment where employees feel connected and motivated to collaborate.
