Job Description

The Elements team is looking for individuals with an excellent work ethic who enjoy looking for software bugs (aka breaking software) and have a desire to ship the highest quality products around. As a Quality Engineer, you will work with a dedicated team of development and quality engineers on the Elements product line.

As a Software Engineer at Adobe, you will own delivery of Adobe Photoshop Elements, Adobe Premiere Elements and Elements Organizer, a suite of products targeted towards home and hobbyist segment of users. The responsibility will include taking the product/features through entire life cycle from requirements to delivery.


Education/Experience/Skill

  • Good academic background with at least a B.E/B.Tech degree in computer science engineering and 7-10 years equivalent QE industry experience.
  • Have 7-10 yrs experience in graybox testing for a Product Company
  • Experience with digital imaging and digital video products is an added advantage.
  • Be passionate on timely delivery and have meticulous attention to detail and ability to identify, isolate and defects in sophisticated software features.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Demonstrated innovative customer solutions, drives operational excellence and optimally partners and breaks down silos.


Responsibility

  • Closely partner across the project, product, and subject area boundaries to proactively own features which includes planning, writing & maintaining test cases, plans, reports, etc for sophisticated features.
  • Advocate for customers and recommend features and fixes that improve their workflow.
  • Perform interoperability testing within Elements family of products and with other Adobe products.
  • Ability to share high level status of feature quality periodically
  • Work closely with customers (pre-release or otherwise) on feedback on new features and Hard to Reproduce issues.
  • Works closely with Technical Support to capture customer feedback and following up on resolution.
  • Proactively participate in customer engagement channels.


Technical Competency

  • Inspires a high level of confidence in testing abilities with limited oversight, often specifically requested by developers to test important or at risk functionality to assure a higher level of quality.
  • Estimates and schedules work accurately and with little supervision.
  • Ability to investigate and resolve complex and varied issues, and drive it to closure
  • Good technical knowledge on Windows and Mac platforms.
