The Opportunity

Adobe’s Cyber Operations team runs our most critical processes to ensure cybersecurity across the enterprise and our products. We are responsible for protecting our enterprise and cloud infrastructure, operating all systems and processes, including our central cybersecurity data lake, that detect intrusions and respond to security incidents. We are looking for a seasoned technical leader who will work closely with the VP, Cybersecurity Operations, to develop the technical strategy across each of these functions. This individual knows how product and IT teams think, and can communicate risk and solutions to them effectively, and is a skilled collaborator and problem solver. The ideal candidate has expertise and influence that extends beyond Adobe and is recognized by peers in industry &/or community, and will help us move the needle for security.

What you’ll do here

  • Identify security gaps in cloud permissions, monitoring, and security-specific infrastructure configurations and collaborate with engineering teams to strategically craft solutions that mitigate those issues.

  • Identify security gaps in Identity and Access Management (IAM) and collaborate with key stakeholders to strategically craft solutions.

  • Drive technical security excellence across multiple functional within Cyber Operations.

  • Help foster a culture of security engineering innovation and excellence across Cyber Operations.

  • Partner closely with Security Architecture to provide input on cloud-agnostic architectural solutions that address security at scale and account for emerging threats and sophisticated attackers.

  • Collaborate with security tool vendors and understand how they may help Adobe in the long term.

  • Build technical security presentations and engage with teams across the company to cultivate broad understanding of security.

  • Mentor and coach other technical contributors and aspiring principal scientists.

  • Make broad consumption of strategic concepts possible by distilling complex topics into a form that can be more readily shared with more junior engineers.

  • Advise and provide guidance to senior management on advanced technical issues.

  • As a domain specialist, be responsible for leading multi-functional working groups or initiatives or provide consulting/advice to other departments or groups within the company.

  • Provide critical analysis of issues for continuous improvement of technology, process and productivity.

  • Advocate adoption of new technologies and standards to the broader Adobe developer community.

  • Question the status quo in pursuit of technological innovations and disruptions to define the best in class products & experiences.

  • Serve as an ambassador for Adobe, attracting and grooming technologists to help enhance the company’s technical legacy.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Deep understanding of cloud technical security across a spectrum of infrastructure environments

  • Knowledge of regulatory and compliance frameworks and how to technically meet requirements underlying them, including ISO, PCI, FedRAMP and HIPAA

  • The ability to identify and coordinate new security innovation opportunities

  • Broad technical understanding of cloud technologies at scale

  • Ability to work independently with strong problem-solving skills

  • Self-motivation, flexibility, and follow through across many concurrent areas

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $193,900 -- $351,300 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.

At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
