The Opportunity:
We're seeking a Cloud Engineer who balances the capabilities of system administration and software development. We're seeking a customer-focused individual who is enthusiastic about learning, giving, growing, and being a great teammate. The ideal candidate will bring a sensitivity and respect for the status quo coupled with vision, perseverance and drive to effect steady improvement and modernization towards best practices and innovation.
What we're looking for:
- BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Demonstrated ability in full-stack development and system administration
- Experience in Linux system administration, particularly with RedHat variants
- Solid knowledge of and experience with common Internet protocols, in particular, DNS and DHCP
- Solid experience in running and operating services in private datacenter and public cloud (AWS and Azure)
- Experience running business-critical services at scale
- Expertise with Python, and modern software development methodologies
- Proficiency with API design and development using modern API frameworks
- Experience with relational databases and database design, including MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.
- Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform)
- Experience with configuration management concepts and tooling, particularly SaltStack
- Experience with monitoring and observability, particularly Prometheus
- Solid interpersonal skills
- Solid written and oral communication skills
Bonus:
- Experience with Go
- Experience with Infoblox
- Experience with React frontend development
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and methodologies
- Experience with ServiceNow development
What you'll do:
- Work with a team of Cloud Engineers in the Network Engineering organization, running and developing foundational, high-scale, business-critical services used by Adobe products, including DNS, DHCP, and IPAM
- Participate in a regular on-call rotation
- Help run the day-to-day operation of these services ensuring reliable service delivery
- Help to design, build, deploy, and run the next generation of these services
- Regularly interact with internal customers, to understand their needs, enable their success, and incorporate their feedback into service improvement
- Work with smart people all over the world to help ensure the success of Adobe products and services!
