Adobe is looking for a Software Engineer to build a component library containing both low and high level composable components used globally by teams across Adobe and used by millions of users worldwide. Working with Architects, Software Engineers, Product Managers and the Adobe Design team, you will architect, design, and compose your code towards creating reusable, flexible, accessible and robust components for our core persona: Software Engineers building applications at Adobe.
What you'll do
Define, drive and implement a variety of new components as part of mission-critical projects that require a flexible and performant and pixel perfect solution
Take on the responsibility of the technical quality of the projects taken on by the team, guiding junior members of the team and architecting the UI on all fronts
Develop and exercise your leadership abilities with the team to promote an outstanding developer experience
Be a thought leader on application architecture to ensure adoption and consistency
What you need to succeed
Ambition to tackle front-end library architecture challenges with a hardworking and focused team
Proven experience building highly performant, sophisticated, and useful front-end solutions
Expert knowledge in JavaScript and CSS fundamentals and have composed applications you are proud of in modern frameworks and libraries
Strong CS fundamentals
10 years experience as a Front End Engineer, with 3+ years experience architecting web applications
Proven passion for creating well thought through solutions
Experience and desire to work with Open Source projects
Desire to foster a thriving community around the work you do
Ability to give code reviews with constructive feedback
Proficiency in writing and maintaining tests
Have shipped and validated production quality applications in React
At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).
In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
