As a Cloud focused Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and owning features in Photography Cloud Services team. You will be part of a highly agile team developing innovative cloud software in consumer creative services domain. You will have significant influence on our overall strategy by helping define these cloud features to manage and analyze photos and enable magical photo experiences, drive the system architecture, and spearhead the standard methodologies that makes the service highly available, scalable and reliable.
The ideal candidate is clearly who is adaptable to an agile environment, passionate about new opportunities in cloud services and has a proven track record of success in delivering new cloud focused features.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop features/services/APIs for photography cloud platform
- Build Reliable, scalable and secure cloud services
- Collaborate with architects, product management and other engineering teams to create the technical vision, and road map for the team
- Design, development and testing of large scale, low latency high volume services which serves millions of requests every day
- Create technical specifications, prototypes and presentations to communicate your ideas
- Well versed in emerging industry technologies and trends, and the ability to communicate that knowledge to the team and use it to influence product direction
What you need to succeed
- 4-6 years software development and programming experience
- Bachelors/master's in computer science or a related field.
- Hands-on experience with Public Cloud Services and tools like AWS, Docker, CI & CD tools etc.
- Excellent software design skills
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Able to communicate technical details clearly
- Motivated, self-starter with the ability to learn and adapt to new technologies
- Work closely and seamlessly with various client engineering teams, product management to ensure we deliver great compelling solutions.
- At ease with ambiguity and able to adapt and change direction/technologies to demonstrate new learnings.
- Be a mentor and role model for junior engineers.
- Practice with product development and release methodologies such as Agile, Lean, Scrum.
