What you'll Do

  • Design, develop, test, and enhance cloud-based services across Marketo and other B2B applications.

  • Apply Generative AI and Agentic AI tools for software development and product features.

  • Actively participate in architecture and lead design discussions.

  • Develop systems that are highly scalable, reliable, yet easy to maintain.

  • Collaborate with product managers, architects and engineers to build high-performance backend services and data ingestion pipelines.

  • Support your services in Production and make customers successful.

  • Follow Agile methodologies.

  • Evaluate new technologies and help incorporate them into the technology stack.

  • Mentor junior engineers.

What you need to succeed

  • BS/MS or equivalent experience in Computer Science or a related field.

  • 8+ years of experience in backend and distributed systems development.

  • Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Strong programming skills with experience in Object-Oriented languages like Java and Scala.

  • Experience with Relational databases (e.g. MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g. MongoDB, Redis).

  • Experience building and deploying microservices using tools like Docker and Kubernetes.

  • Experience with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

What will help you stand out from the crowd

  • Experience with Akka, Spark and Kafka.

  • Experience with CRM systems.

  • Full stack experience.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $133,900 -- $242,000 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.

At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
