The Opportunity

We’re looking for a capable, innovative, and collaborative Software Development Engineer to join our team. At this level you’ll take ownership of medium to large features, contribute to architecture and technical design, and help shape user-facing experiences. This is your chance to work on complex systems, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to cutting-edge projects that further Adobe’s presence as a market leader for digital experiences.

We work with modern technologies, and for this role, we’re specifically looking for someone with experience building front-end applications using React, Node.js, and micro frontend architectures.

What You’ll Do

As an important member of our team, you’ll help Adobe Workfront build a modern interface for managing user assets across the Adobe ecosystem and across multiple Adobe organizations. You’ll work closely with UX, Product, and other engineering teams to design and deliver a system that is both intuitive and high-performing.

Specifically you will:

  • Design and implement scalable, maintainable front and back-end code.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to define, build, and deliver intuitive and performant web experiences
  • Write clean, testable, well-documented code, and participate in code reviews
  • Help guide technical direction on new features, refactors, and platform improvements
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues across components and services
  • Share technical knowledge and mentor junior engineers
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and identify opportunities to adopt new tools or techniques where appropriate

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience) 3+ years of recent experience in JavaScript technologies (React, Node, Typescript, Angular, ES6)
  • Solid experience building production-grade web applications and familiarity with micro frontend architectures and the tradeoffs they involve
  • Experience working on features with moderate to high complexity and ownership
  • Ability to design for testability and scalability
  • Comfortable debugging issues across components, services, and deployments
  • A collaborative mindset, strong communication skills, and a habit of sharing knowledge • A growth mindset with the ability to quickly learn new concepts and technologies.
  • Ability to work independently on assignments with minimal oversight

Bonus if You Have

  • Knowledge and experience with Java, Spring, Docker, Kubernetes, RDBMS NoSQL, Kafka, ElasticSearch, AWS, GCP. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
  • Knowledge of accessibility and performance optimization best practices
  • Experience defining or contributing to API designs

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $113,400 -- $206,300 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.

At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
