People Manager

Opportunity:

We are looking for a seasoned, passionate, and hands-on engineering manager to lead and grow a team of talented and high-impact engineers working on the Commerce Data Platform.

In this role, you will:

- Be responsible for day-to-day activities writing design specs, PR reviews, debugging etc.

- Collaborate with teams across geographies to align on priorities, influence roadmaps, and drive data-informed decisions.

- Guide your team in solving complex business problems through rigorous analysis, experimentation, and storytelling—while contributing hands-on when needed.

- Create and execute effective processes for managing projects and sprints.

- Ensure adequate visibility of project/feature status to program management, product management, and other stakeholders.

- Attend to team morale; communicate effectively with team members to understand concerns and address them.

- Optimize team productivity, sprint velocity, and feature turnaround time while fostering satisfying work-life balance.

- Manage individual performance, employing ongoing performance feedback and coaching.

- Work with each team member in identifying and making progress toward career development goals.

What you need to succeed:

- BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent.

- Minimum of 10 years of experience in software engineering, with a minimum of 3 years managing software engineering teams.

- Hands-on experience working with large-scale data and platforms such as Databricks, Spark, or Hadoop.

- Proficiency in Python and SQL, with familiarity in building and maintaining data pipelines.

- Demonstrable ability to translate complex data into clear insights and influence decisions across technical and non-technical audiences.

- Track record of delivering impactful, data-driven solutions in fast-paced, multi-functional environments.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies and to maintain a high degree of technical involvement with your team and applications/services.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $154,700 -- $320,000 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.

At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
