Adobe is seeking a Software Development Engineer to join the ecommerce pricing platform team in San Jose. What You’ll Do
- Design and develop software solutions with a focus on quality, testability, and scalability.
- Contribute to architecture and design while factoring in business priorities.
- Proactively identify problems with requirements and suggest innovative solutions.
- Lead development reviews, offering perspectives based on knowledge and experience.
- Optimize and improve existing systems and designs for better performance and usability.
- Mentor junior engineers and actively share knowledge within and beyond your team.
- Develop and implement robust test strategies, ensuring code meets high-quality standards.
- Work with multi-functional teams to deliver impactful features aligned with business goals.
- Develop micro services using Java 8, Spring Boot and web experiences using JavaScript, ReactJS.
- Contribute significantly towards the development and application of advanced concepts, technologies and expertise within the team.
- Work with team across multiple geographies.
- An expert on one or more platforms, knowledgeable of cross-platform issues, competitive products, and customer requirements.
What You Need to Succeed
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering or equivalent experience
- 4+ years of hands-on design/development experience.
- Good understanding of web technologies, object-oriented design, micro services and cloud deployment.
- Strong expertise in software design, architecture, and common design patterns.
- Proficiency in multiple programming languages and ability to debug complex systems.
- Demonstrated experience in mentoring and collaborating across teams.
- Familiarity with secure programming practices and performance optimization techniques.
- Proven track record of delivering impactful software solutions in multi-functional settings.
- Excellent communication skills to articulate design approaches and solicit feedback.
- A growth mindset with the ability to quickly learn new concepts and technologies.
At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).
In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
