We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to lead the design, development, and optimization of Adobe Stock’s customer-facing experiences. In this highly visible role, you’ll influence architecture, performance strategies, Search Engine Optimization direction, and Generative Engine Optimization to drive traffic and engagement for one of Adobe’s most important customer touchpoints. You’ll partner with design, product, and engineering teams to deliver world-class, high-performing, and accessible experiences that help millions of global customers find and license the creative assets they need.

What you'll Do

  • Architect and develop fault tolerant and highly available (99.99%) web applications and the services that support them using modern technologies and frameworks.
  • Own and implement SEO strategies for the Adobe Stock site, including semantic HTML, metadata, structured data, and crawl optimization.
  • Drive Generative Engine Optimization strategy to optimize the Adobe Stock site for AI-powered search engines.
  • Collaborate with multi-functional teams to translate product and design goals into technical solutions, influencing roadmap priorities when needed.
  • Mentor senior and mid‑level engineers, driving architectural reviews and cultivating best practices across the org.
  • Provide guidance on the architecture of large features, taking pride in pragmatic and elegant solutions.
  • Dive deep into difficult technical problems across the stack, those which can truly benefit from your expertise.

What you need to succeed

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of leading the design and development of complex, large-scale web applications with a focus on performance, scalability, and user experience.
  • Possess thorough, up-to-date knowledge of search engine ranking factors and current SEO strategies with a proven track record.
  • Expert knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and deep experience with React.
  • Demonstrated ability to set technical vision, influence architectural decisions, and work across teams in a matrixed organization.
  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to influence without authority.
