As a Computer Scientist II, you’ll play a pivotal role in building robust backend and agentic platforms, influencing technical direction, and mentoring top talent. You’ll join a dynamic team of engineers who drive innovation and embed intelligence into Adobe products used by millions worldwide.
This role is about more than building software—it’s about setting engineering standards, operating with excellence, and shaping how businesses everywhere engage with data, automation, and intelligence.
- Build infrastructure and internal tooling to support the deployment and management of AI agents at scale in production environments.
- Architect and develop scalable, high-performance backend systems for enterprise agents and AI-powered features.
- Enable intelligent workflow automation and data orchestration by collaborating closely with AI/ML, product, and research teams.
- Design and implement distributed services, RESTful APIs, and microservices using Python (Django, Flask, FastAPI, or similar frameworks) to power agentic and AI-first solutions.
- Champion operational and engineering excellence, driving best practices in code quality, monitoring, cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, and security.
- Lead and mentor engineers, contributing to a collaborative, inclusive, and innovative team culture.
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or equivalent degree/experience in Computer Science or a related field.
- Deep hands-on experience building and scaling backend or cloud-native systems—especially powering agent-based, AI-driven, or automation-rich applications.
- Proven ability to partner with AI/ML and cross-functional teams to deliver intelligent, production-grade backend solutions.
- Experience architecting distributed systems, APIs, and microservices, with an understanding of performance, reliability, and maintainability.
- Strong programming skills in Python and backend frameworks (Django, Flask, FastAPI, etc.).
- Outstanding problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Passion for continuous learning, mentoring, and keeping up with technological innovation.
- Familiarity with modern CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP), and backend observability/security.
- Experience deploying agentic platforms, workflow automation, or backend infrastructure supporting AI/ML solutions.
- Contributions to open-source projects, developer communities, or thought leadership in backend/agentic systems.
- Strong systems design acumen and commitment to operational rigor.
- Exposure to observability, monitoring, logging, and secure distributed system design.
- Experience with extensible platforms, developer tooling, or agent orchestration frameworks.
