EMPLOYEE ROLE

Individual Contributor

Adobe is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer 5 to contribute to the development of advanced machine learning models and platforms for personalized and creative customer experiences. As a senior member of the AEP AI team, you will lead the design and deployment of ML solutions and build products that drive business outcomes and empower users through intelligent, AI-powered tools.

This role involves working on complex, large-scale projects at the intersection of machine learning, creativity, and user experience—building products with AI, including GenAI, at the core to enhance creativity and boost productivity for our customers and their customers as well.

You will collaborate closely with Adobe Research and multiple product teams, helping shape products where AI is not an add-on, but a central enabler of value. The AEP AI team is composed of engineers and scientists working in a fast-paced, data-driven environment focused on delivering impactful ML-powered solutions across Adobe’s Digital Experience offerings.

What you'll do

  • Lead engineers and collaborate with product managers to craft, build, and implement machine learning systems that solve sophisticated business problems.

  • Architect and optimize end-to-end ML pipelines for scalability, performance, and reliability.

  • Collaborate with senior leadership and multi-functional teams to support central AI initiatives and drive innovation.

  • Collaborate with product and platform teams to integrate ML and GenAI models into Adobe products, with a focus on enabling creative and productive experiences.

  • Perform rigorous testing, debugging, and tuning of ML systems in production environments.

  • Mentor junior engineers and scientists, advocating for standard methodologies and a culture of experimentation and learning.

  • Contribute to research papers, open-source initiatives, and represent Adobe at conferences and industry forums.

  • Provide technical leadership, driving the adoption of modern ML practices and technologies.

What you need to succeed

  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree with 8+ years of experience, or PhD with 5+ years in crafting, evaluating, and deploying machine learning models at scale.

  • Deep expertise in machine learning, statistical modeling, and applied AI.

  • Proven success in shipping ML models to production, with measurable business impact.

  • Proficiency in Python, Java, or C++, and experience with ML tools such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn, SparkML, or similar.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to distill complexity into clear, actionable strategies.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence product and engineering teams.

  • A track record of mentorship and technical leadership.

  • Passion for Generative AI and applying ML to improve creativity and efficiency.

  • Experience collaborating across research and product teams, bridging the gap between innovation and delivery.
