The Opportunity
We’re searching for an Presales Enterprise Architect with a focused specialism on AI to join our UK team! This role sits within the EMEA Enterprise Architecture organization, working with Adobe customers at all levels, from C-level executives to operational teams, advise on strategy, technology, and AI solutions that drive customer experience transformation and digital innovation. You’ll dive into architecture, identify prioritized paths forward for customers, and champion the adoption and governance of AI across the Adobe Experience Cloud.
Role Overview
The Presales Enterprise Architect – AI Specialism is a senior presales position providing direct support to regional sales and partner organizations. You’ll help develop opportunity pipelines and execute deal cycle strategies within complex and strategic sales opportunities, with a special focus on practical AI application, architecture, and governance.
You are regarded as a trusted advisor by customers, colleagues, and the broader ecosystem. You’ll engage customers, manage rooms, partner with Adobe sales, drive product enhancements with Adobe product & engineering teams, and participate in marketing events and partner enablement.
What You'll Do
AI Strategy & Planning: Partner with Account Executives to define overall account strategy, focusing on technical vision for AI and designing an impact roadmap that supports customers’ long-term AI strategy and use cases.
Business Case Development: Support Account Executives in developing business cases for AI initiatives, ensuring alignment between business and technical objectives.
AI Technical Case: Own and define customer AI architecture & technical milestones (current, future, and transition states). Partner with Solution Consultants to develop clear technical narratives and support delivery teams on technical scope, implementation timelines, and proposals.
Account Management: Build trusted advisor relationships with customer CIO/CTO/CDO organizations, focusing on AI adoption and governance.
Client Management: Act as a senior trusted advisor to customers, covering the entire journey of end customer experience and internal employee experience, with a focus on AI-driven transformation.
Architecture Design: Validate the current state and goals of the customer, translating them into an appropriate AI-driven target state vision with a supporting IT roadmap and design for architecturally significant requirements (processes, applications, systems) based on Adobe’s AI solutions.
Architecture Oversight: Advise on operationalizing mutual business strategy from the technical case during the sales cycle, ensuring smooth transition into post-sales and value realization stages for AI projects.
Architecture Review: Provide ongoing reviews to clarify new requirements and jointly create a path to solution, impact plan, and stable client-vendor relationships for future AI business.
Technical Leadership: Serve as the primary technical expert and resource to guide and support Solution Consultants in developing AI technical cases.
Thought Leadership: Add value “beyond the sale” through long-term AI strategy development, providing industry insights, and connecting client needs to Adobe’s broader AI solution portfolio.
What You Need To Succeed
Broad knowledge of Adobe Experience Cloud solutions and deep expertise in AI architecture, including customer journey management, data management, personalization, analytics, and AI governance.
Deep knowledge of cloud architecture patterns and how Adobe’s AI capabilities fit into best-in-class enterprise solutions.
Strong leadership and project management skills to align sales resources behind technical AI vision and help scale EA knowledge and practice across the region.
Excellent communication and advisory skills at CxO level, with the ability to develop strong working relationships with practitioner architects.
Adept at building AI technical roadmaps, defining multi-phase milestones, and ensuring complex enterprise technologies work together at scale.
Experience with AI governance frameworks, ethical AI practices, and regulatory compliance in enterprise environments.
Experience designing and implementing practical AI applications (e.g., machine learning, generative AI, automation) within large-scale digital experience platforms.
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s/MBA preferred.
2+ years of presales or consulting experience in the Adobe ecosystem.
5+ years of technical solution experience in Adobe Experience Cloud or similar platforms.
10+ years overall professional experience in technical roles.
Demonstrable experience of successful EA engagements, ideally with AI specialization.
TOGAF or equivalent architecture qualification highly desirable.
Design Thinking experience in customer-facing engagements.
Experience in sales and sales processes. Excellent presentation and communication skills in English
