The Opportunity

Join Adobe’s Firefly Services team and shape how developers build with generative AI. We’re delivering the API layer that powers intelligent imaging and video workflows—covering 3D/2D compositing, background synthesis, video reframing, avatars, text‑to‑speech, and more. As Principal Product Manager for Developer Experience & API Platform, you’ll define and lead how developers—inside and outside Adobe—discover, integrate, and scale with Firefly. You’ll influence design standards, establish documentation excellence, and lead cross‑functional efforts to turn breakthrough AI into production‑ready, developer‑loved services.

What You’ll Own

Developer journey, end‑to‑end: define and lead DevEx across REST APIs, SDKs, quickstarts, interactive docs, testing tools, and onboarding; optimize Time‑to‑First‑Success (TTFS) and activation.
API coherence & quality: establish and enforce design standards (naming, auth, errors, idempotency), run an API review/governance rhythm, and drive cross‑team consistency.
Lifecycle & reliability: own versioning/deprecation policy, rate‑limit strategy, SLAs, security/compliance alignment, and backward‑compatibility guarantees.
Tooling & ecosystem: ship Postman collections, OpenAPI specs, SDKs/clients, CLIs, code samples, and a changelog that makes updates safe and predictable.
Instrumentation & feedback loops: define DevEx telemetry (TTFS, activation, retained integrations, API error classes), run surveys/GitHub programs, and translate insights into a quarterly DevEx roadmap.
Developer portal experience: partner on IA, discoverability, self‑serve keys/sandboxes, and “Hello World” flows; ensure 1P/3P parity.
Cross‑functional leadership: work with Firefly engineering, Creative Cloud product teams, Design/Content, DevRel, and enterprise customers to unblock adoption and scale repeatable patterns.

What You’ll Bring

8+ years of product management experience with a focus on APIs/developer platforms; proven wins driving adoption and reducing integration friction.
Strong technical intuition across REST, authentication (OAuth2, tokens), gateways, observability, backward compatibility, and reliability at scale.
Track record shipping tooling & docs (OpenAPI, SDKs, CLIs, Postman) that developers use and love.
Outcome mindset: improved TTFS/activation, reduced breaking‑change risk, and raised developer satisfaction in prior roles.
Exceptional communication and storytelling skills—capable of aligning engineers, executives, and external developers.
Passion for GenAI and creative pipelines (3D/imaging/video) and how developers productize them.

Nice to Have

Experience operating an API style guide and review council; running beta/GA and change‑management programs.
Background with DX telemetry, self‑serve sandboxes/mocks, and partner certification programs.
Open‑source or developer community contributions (SDKs, CLIs, dev tools).

Why Join Us?

You’ll join a high-impact, growing team that’s defining the enterprise GenAI stack for Adobe. Firefly Services is where platform product thinking meets real-world adoption at scale. You'll influence how global brands automate creativity, accelerate production, and unlock entirely new business models.
