Project Kuiper is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). Its mission is to bring fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities around the world. Project Kuiper will help close the digital divide by delivering fast, affordable broadband to a wide range of customers, including consumers, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in places without reliable connectivity.

As the Flight Dynamics Technical Program Manager for Amazon Project Kuiper, you will play a pivotal role in defining and executing technical strategies that drive the success of our space systems. Reporting directly to the Flight Dynamics Engineering Manager, this role involves managing technical roadmaps, aligning cross-functional teams, and overseeing the development of mission-critical system interfaces and requirements within the Flight Dynamics organization.

You will be responsible for guiding complex spaceflight systems, including spaceflight navigation, maneuver planning, space safety, Position, Navigation, and Timing (PNT), mission operations, Space Situational Awareness, and Space Traffic Coordination.

This technical leadership role demands expertise in both hardware and software integration, as well as a deep understanding of the challenges and applications in spaceflight.

Key job responsibilities
- Technical Roadmap Development: Lead the creation and execution of technical roadmaps for large-scale initiatives within Project Kuiper Flight Dynamics.
- Requirements Management: Define and manage requirements and interfaces that tie directly to system-level goals and Concepts of Operations (ConOps), ensuring alignment across teams.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Serve as the primary point of contact for technical dependencies between Flight Dynamics and other mission-critical systems, ensuring seamless integration and coordination.
- Strategic Decision Making: Advise the Engineering Manager on strategic direction, and develop actionable plans for project execution. Balance business needs and technical constraints to drive high-level initiatives while managing risks.
- Process & Tool Improvement: Continuously improve program and team processes, introducing new methodologies, tools, and strategies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Leadership & Influence: Influence technical design and decision-making across a cross-disciplinary team. Demonstrated success in leading high-performing teams through complex challenges.
- Problem Solving & Judgment: Excellent judgment and critical thinking skills to anticipate bottlenecks, navigate trade-offs, and deliver results under pressure.
- Execution & Delivery: Break down complex, large-scale projects into manageable tasks, ensuring timely delivery while maintaining quality.
