Key job responsibilities
- Design intuitive user experiences that transform complex workflows into delightful interfaces, owning the process from concept to delivery
- Lead strategic planning phases and pitch innovative customer experience solutions backed by data-driven insights
- Create and iterate on user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups for web and mobile interfaces
- Conduct user research and testing to validate design decisions and ensure customer-centric solutions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement design solutions while mentoring fellow designers


A day in the life
You'll start your day collaborating with team members across the globe, participating in design reviews, and iterating on user feedback. You might lead a workshop to solve a complex logistics challenge, create prototypes for user testing, or present design solutions to leadership. Throughout the day, you'll balance independent creative work with collaborative sessions, ensuring your designs meet both user needs and business objectives.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 6+ years of design experience
- Knowledge of design tools such as Balsamiq, Omnigraffle, Photoshop, Illustrator, Visio, and Dreamweaver
- Have an available online portfolio
- Experience with design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign and prototyping in HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Ajax
- Experience defining and maintaining design patterns and UX standards
- Experience in end-to-end design projects from design strategy through execution

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Portfolio demonstrating user-centered design solutions and process
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Experience with logistics, wayfinding, or service design
- Proven track record of collaborating with cross-functional teams
- Expertise in information architecture and usability principles

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $127,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $211,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
