We own the core software applications and services that Amazon and AWS use to collaborate, monitor, engage, and manage all of software events, agile deliveries, projects, programs, and business processes across the entire company.

Key job responsibilities
As a Software Development Manager in Ticketing (BID), you will own the data and control plane services supporting Ticketing and Paging experiences across all Amazon business and technical teams. You will lead and mentor software engineers and teams, driving technical innovation and delivering high-quality software solutions in the Ticketing domain. You'll be responsible for the end-to-end development process, from conceptualization to deployment, ensuring alignment with business goals and maintaining Amazon's high standards of excellence.

AWS Utility Computing (UC) provides product innovations — from foundational services such as Amazon’s Simple Storage Service (S3) and Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), to consistently released new product innovations that continue to set AWS’s services and features apart in the industry. As a member of the UC organization, you’ll support the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, Internet of Things (Iot), Platform, and Productivity Apps services in AWS, including support for customers who require specialized security solutions for customers who require specialized security solutions for their cloud services.


Key job responsibilities
• This position requires strong leadership and people management skills, as you will be required to support the professional growth of the team, as well as participate in the hiring and building of high-performance teams
• You will drive the technical vision and strategy for your area of responsibility and ensure architectural decisions align with long-term business and technical goals
• Oversee multiple complex projects simultaneously, managing scope and timelines, while collaborating with product managers to define roadmaps and prioritize features
• You will maintain a high-bar on operational excellence ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance of services, in addition to implementing development processes, best incident response and DevOps practices
• Cross-functional collaboration working closely with product, design, and other engineering teams, while representing your team in org-wide technical discussions and decision-making with peers, senior leadership, and stakeholders
• You will translate business requirements into technical solutions and contribute to long-term strategic planning for the organization
• Drive cost optimization and efficiency improvements and report on key performance indicators (KPIs)
