DESCRIPTION

The mission of the EU INTech Predictive Cart Building team is to create convenient and delightful shopping experiences where customers organically add multiple items to their cart that meet their present and future needs. We innovate on the core Amazon shopping experience to instill long-term behavior shifts towards more units per purchase, especially in high cost-to-serve categories.

You will be responsible for designing, developing and delivering a variety of software applications that power features like personalized product recommendations, one-click reorder bundles, and incentivized basket building experiences. You will work closely with product managers, UX designers, and scientists to tackle complex challenges at the intersection of machine learning, user experience, and e-commerce. This role offers the opportunity to have a direct impact on the shopping journeys of millions of Amazon customers across Europe.





Key job responsibilities
We are looking for software developer engineers who are passionate to solve highly ambiguous and challenging problems at global scale. You will be responsible for major components of the team, you will design, develop, deliver and support a variety of software applications in collaboration with a variety of roles and partner teams around the world. You will influence technical direction, drive operational excellence best practices and maintain quality on team deliverables. You will also have the opportunity to learn from high-performing software engineering teams and mentor junior members.

A day in the life
Our engineers work on various components of retail: Search, Detail Page, Cart, Checkout, Post-Purchase. We build end-to-end from idea, tech design to implementation and weblab experimentation. You will work directly with PMTs and UX designers on fleshing out software requirements.
While we own some components, do expect some away team work. For the services we own be prepared for DevOps work - we optimize for having CI/CD and maintain overall high OE bar.

About the team
You will join an established diverse tech team of full-stack SDEs working across WW Stores tech stack and beyond. The team is based in Madrid (MAD15).
