Prime Video is a first-stop entertainment destination offering customers a vast collection of premium programming in one app available across thousands of devices. Prime members can customize their viewing experience and find their favorite movies, series, documentaries, and live sports – including Amazon MGM Studios-produced series and movies; licensed fan favorites; and programming from Prime Video add-on subscriptions such as Apple TV+, Max, Crunchyroll and MGM+. All customers, regardless of whether they have a Prime membership or not, can rent or buy titles via the Prime Video Store, and can enjoy even more content for free with ads.
As a Prime Video technologist, you’ll have end-to-end ownership of the product, user experience, design, and technology required to deliver state-of-the-art experiences for our customers. You’ll get to work on projects that are fast-paced, challenging, and varied. You’ll also be able to experiment with new possibilities, take risks, and collaborate with remarkable people.
Role Overview: We're seeking a product leader to develop and launch a new content vertical for Prime Video. This 0-1 opportunity involves building a new category within our entertainment ecosystem. You'll shape the product strategy, define customer experiences, and develop new revenue opportunities while working closely with senior leadership.
You'll work with senior leadership to bring this new content category to life on Prime Video, combining strategic thinking with practical execution to build valuable customer experiences
Key job responsibilities
Key Responsibilities for this role includes:
- Develop and execute product strategy, including business model and go-to-market approach
- Partner with finance teams on pricing strategies and investment frameworks
- Work with content strategy teams on acquisition and optimization
- Design discovery and engagement features specific to this content category
- Understand customer behaviors and viewing patterns
- Define and measure success metrics
- Lead cross-functional initiatives across design, engineering, finance, and content teams
- Identify strategic partnerships and integration opportunities
- Build and mentor a dedicated team
- Drive alignment through data-driven insights

About the team
The Prime Video Global App Experience team is responsible for defining and building the Prime Video experience on a range of devices on web, mobile, living room, and next-gen platforms.
Within this team, CXT ( Content Experience team) vision is to transform how customers engage with Prime Video by building distinct, optimized experiences for our core content types - Movies and TV shows, while building innovative discovery experiences for strategically valuable emerging content types.
