The Amazon Books team is seeking a Senior Policy Manager to join our Global Books Risk Policy team, focusing on data quality and standardization. Operating at the intersection of trust & safety and data quality in retail, this role will shape how Amazon defines, manages, and validates crucial book information across our global catalog.
Key job responsibilities
• Drive the development and evolution of Amazon's Global Books Metadata Policies, ensuring consistent, accurate, and trustworthy book information across all ingestion channels
• Lead complex policy initiatives around fundamental book attributes, including author attribution, title standardization, and sensitive content classification
• Partner with Science and Engineering teams to leverage GenAI capabilities for assessing and improving data quality at scale
• Develop clear, implementable definitions for book attributes that can be consistently enforced across the platform
• Create and maintain policies for handling sensitive concepts and content classifications within the Books ecosystem
• Build consensus across multiple stakeholders including Legal, Public Relations, Content Management, Engineering, and Business teams
• Conduct thorough policy research and present data-driven recommendations to senior leadership
