DESCRIPTION

Amazon Aurora DSQL is a serverless, distributed SQL database with virtually unlimited scale, highest availability, and zero infrastructure management. Aurora DSQL provides active-active high availability, providing strong data consistency designed for 99.99% single-Region and 99.999% multi-Region availability. Aurora DSQL automatically manages and scales system resources, so you don't have to worry about maintenance downtime and provisioning, patching, or upgrading infrastructure.

The Query Processing (QP) team is responsible for planning and executing SQL statements in the most efficient way possible. The QP team owns everything in the life cycle of a SQL statement like Parsing, Analysis (syntax and semantic), Rewriting, Planning (Optimizer) and Execution, and working with custom built Storage.

An ideal candidate has experience building databases and/or large stateful cloud services, is able to dive into complex problems, and is able to invent simple and elegant solutions for the same. They are able to design, implement and deliver cutting edge software systems. They thrive on creative and collaborative problem solving, and also enjoy the challenge of operating services at AWS scale.
