In this role, you will be responsible for leading AGS’s Field Tech Sales Operations organization across its ~$100Bn Global Sales (AGS) business. You will partner directly with AWS's Global Field tech leader to shape and create transformational growth strategies, optimize technical coverage, capacity and role clarity, run the rhythm of the business, and ensure seamless alignment between worldwide strategic priorities and regional execution. You lean towards the technical, you love going deep on architecture, GenAI, and how to bring services together to meet our customer’s needs. Your scope will include developing data-driven insights to inform strategic decisions, designing and implementing new sales motions and growth initiatives, and creating scalable mechanisms to drive operational excellence across our global tech community. Your ability to influence across the global tech, geo tech, and field sales organizations will be critical to delivering for our customers. Your efforts will be crucial in driving AWS's continued growth and leadership in the cloud computing industry.
As a tenured leader, you have a track record of crafting and implementing successful GTM strategies in large-scale, global technology organizations. You lead with technical expertise with the ability to dive deep on capacity planning, account planning, activity based measures and the full customer lifecycle. Your background demonstrates a strong ability to translate strategic vision into actionable plans, drive cross-functional alignment, influence at the executive level, and deliver measurable results in dynamic environments. Most importantly, you combine strategic thinking with a data-driven approach to decision-making, ensuring that our sales strategies are both innovative and grounded in market realities. You demonstrate strong business acumen, a bias for action and a track record of delivering results while maintaining the highest standards of operational excellence.
Key job responsibilities
•Collaborate with C-suite and global leadership to develop and execute comprehensive go-to-market strategy to execution
•Lead a global team across Business Operations and Management, Strategic Initiatives, and Worldwide Programs, driving AGS Tech's mission to enable 8,200+ builders to deliver customer outcomes.
•Refine and evolve the AGS Tech Operating Model, encompassing key mechanisms across Career Growth, Communications & Collaboration, Job Satisfaction, and Tools, Operations, and Planning
•Develop the optimal roles to best serve customers for Field tech and Customer Success functions, including optimal placement and capacity models
•Conduct competitive analysis and benchmark against key industry players
•Articulate unique value propositions and technical solutions for AWS's offerings
•Lead coordinated launch plans for new products or services to deliver revenue growth
•Host and partner with enablement function technical community training and certification
•Create and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for tech/CSM activity and product performance
•Partner with tech and sales to ensure effective execution of global strategies
•Identify and prioritize use case driven sales plays to drive growth
•Orchestrate large-scale events like the Global Tech Summits, uniting 14,000+ builders across 48 hubs to drive skill development and collaboration
•Foster strategic partnerships with key stakeholders including the AGS Tech Director, Leadership Team, Sales Operations, HR, and Finance to ensure alignment and drive business outcomes
•Champion a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and #OneTeam collaboration across the global AGS Tech organization
