Amazon is looking for a smart, motivated, and analytical Sr Credit Analyst to join the Amazon Business Payments Credit Strategy and Operations team in Japan. This role involves using data and analytics, as well as financial statements knowledge to make high judgment decisions and to effectively manage operational queues and SLAs. The successful candidate will have excellent data skills, credit assessment knowledge, experience in innovating processes and scaling, strong attention to detail and a desire to exceed expectations in a dynamic, fast-paced and often ambiguous environment.
This role will report into the Japan Portfolio Manager based in Tokyo.

Key areas of responsibility include:
- Handling a large volume of credit decision requests - quickly use data and SOP driven rules to arrive at fast, fair, and appropriate credit decisions.
- Communicating with customers and the sales team – requires strong customer obsession as an Amazon representative in credit-related communication
- Improving processes – work with internal teams to understand the systems and variables that affect credit management decisions, and drive improvements in the logic, tools and processes, with emphasis on automating tasks that are currently performed manually
- Monitoring portfolio credit performance – monitoring of Accounts Receivables with emphasis on managing portfolio past dues and working closely with Fraud team to reduce fraud abuse.
