We're seeking an experienced (and passionate) Software Development Manager to EKS Pulsar team. The team owns multiple components, open-source software and customer facing features including: Addons, ACK, KRO, EKSCTL, and other platform services projects inflight. You will be part of the EKS Platform Services organization, building core components powering thousands of EKS clusters worldwide.

This role combines technical leadership, people management, and strategic thinking to drive the future of container orchestration and cloud service integration at AWS.
You would own staffing and managing a two-pizza engineering team that will work on creating and operating the fleet of services at scale. You would define product roadmaps, build team culture, develop best practices, and continually improve the overall experience using EKS. The successful candidate will be able to deal with ambiguity, have a passion for problem-solving at scale, and will need to be operationally/technically strong.

Utility Computing (UC)
AWS Utility Computing (UC) provides product innovations — from foundational services such as Amazon’s Simple Storage Service (S3) and Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), to consistently released new product innovations that continue to set AWS’s services and features apart in the industry. As a member of the UC organization, you’ll support the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, Internet of Things (Iot), Platform, and Productivity Apps services in AWS, including support for customers who require specialized security solutions for their cloud services.
