About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Senior Optical Engineer to join our team in developing next-generation consumer products. As a key member of our cross-disciplinary staff, you will leverage your expertise in optical simulation and design to drive product innovation from concept to execution.


Key job responsibilities
Optical Modeling and Simulation:
• Develop sophisticated software models serving as digital twins for various optical systems, sub-systems, and components.
• Utilize advanced software tools (e.g., LightTools, Zemax, RSoft, SolidWorks, etc.) to simulate light-matter interactions and optical propagations.
• Predict optical performance, analyze KPI tradeoffs, and determine manufacturing tolerances through detailed simulations.
Performance Validation and Optimization:
• Combine modeling techniques with laboratory data collection to validate the capabilities of proposed optical architectures.
• Evaluate design variations and manufacturing methods to drive performance advances.
• Identify and implement innovative solutions to enhance optical system performance.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
• Work closely with Optical, Opto-mechanical, and Product Development Engineers in an open, collaborative environment.
• Engage with internal teams and external partners to influence product definition and execution strategies.
• Manage design reviews and effectively communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
Technical Leadership:
• Generate comprehensive white papers on optical design and simulation findings.
• Lead and participate in technical discussions with internal and external stakeholders.
• Stay abreast of the latest developments in optical engineering and simulation technologies.
