DESCRIPTION
 - Own the technical development of a tool for plastic injection or stamped sheet metal components
 - Drive clarity of design benefits, risks, impacts through DFM between supplier and eero engineering.
 - Analyze mold flow, simulation software, drawings, and other data to determine scope of work, estimated cost, and lead-time for fabrication.
 - Evaluates tool designs, drives completion of tool qualifications, first article inspection, cosmetic quality, process validation, failure analysis, process changes and risk analysis
 - Deliver a qualified, repeatable, production process which yields industry best-in-class cosmetic components.
 - Plan for maintenance and engineering changes
 - Employ statistical principles for part qualification
 - Collaborate with product design team and manufacturing design engineer on product architecture to ensure success in mass production.
 - Partner with SQE to drive yield improvement at supplier
 - Monitor and validate existing molding processes and molds to identify improvement opportunities
 - Track defects and address failure Pareto for technical modifications contributing to improvement.
 - Deliver daily updates as to tooling status, readiness, issues and reasons for downtime
 - Drive vendors to justify all modifications
Beyond Plastic Injection Molding tools:
 - Work cross functionally with the in-region mechanical team to support plastic part related DOE's at the CM and plastic supplier
 - Be a mechanical resource for secondary operations for molded plastics
 - Assist in production related issues during FATP relating to custom tooled components
 - Perform root cause analysis on assembly failures caused by custom tooled components
 - Work cross functionally with all departments to ensure all components and assemblies meet or exceed eero's cosmetic standards
