Description

Step Functions is a visual workflow service that helps developers use AWS services to build distributed applications, automate processes, orchestrate microservices, and create data and machine learning (ML) pipelines. Join us to lead a team inventing the way builders develop serverless applications that run at cloud scale.

We are looking for an experienced Software Development Manager (SDM) to lead a team of software engineers to deliver an innovative developer experience that makes it easy to build applications that scale. You will use your technical expertise and customer obsession to guide delivery of strategic projects with bottom-line impact on our business and competitive position. You will use your business acumen to make trade-offs between tactical, operational, and long-term objectives. Your skills coaching and mentoring will help team members reach heights they never thought possible. You will have the opportunity and autonomy to take the team in new directions that meet customers where they are and will be.

AWS Utility Computing (UC) provides product innovations — from foundational services such as Amazon’s Simple Storage Service (S3) and Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), to consistently released new product innovations that continue to set AWS’s services and features apart in the industry. As a member of the UC organization, you’ll support the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, Internet of Things (Iot), Platform, and Productivity Apps services in AWS, including support for customers who require specialized security solutions for their cloud services.
